You can make a claim against a government run body called the Criminal Injury Compensation Authority (CICA) . The CICA operate a scheme that offers payments to those injured as a result of a violent crime. The type of incidents that they deal with can encompass the following (please note this is not an exhaustive list):

  • Domestic Violence
