Under normal circumstances the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority requires that claims are submitted within two years of the incident taking place. Most victims of elidgable crimes are not aware of the CICA's time limits to bring a claim, but there are exceptions if you were a child or have been the victim of certain types of crime.
