Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA)
The Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme, administered by the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA), provides compensation for injuries caused to the victims of violent or sexually orientated crime across the UK and is funded by the Ministry of Justice.
The scheme operates from one central office in Glasgow but also has second administration office in London. Here at Abuse and Assault Claims we help innocent victims of crime pursue a case against the CICA:
We are here to assist with compensation claims from people who have been physically or mentally injured because they were the blameless victim of a violent crime in England, Wales or Scotland. We will help you and work with you to make what will hopefully be a successful application for a CICA award.
The CICA deal with huge volumes of claims every year and whilst the budget allocated to the scheme was slashed during 2012, compensation is being awarded, where appropriate, to those who need it most.
